Form Three Students ONLY !!
Research may seem boring, or hard work.... But, it is a fact of life. We do research every day and you may not realize it.... You want to get the latest shoes...YOU RESEARCH the latest styles.... you wish to find out about the activities for the upcoming Family Day and Bazaar...you research the activites on the Events page in Facebook... You want to find out why this girl likes you.....you ask questions(interview, a form of Research)...and so on and so on. As you get older, as you attend new learning institutions, you will see how important it is to conduct Researches and put together the information you have gathered into your own words.... that is- not plagiarize. The research would be a bit more structured and of course, in depth.
When you reflect on your experiences, you are of course researching within. There is a wealth of information within you that you have not fully analysed....by reflecting on them, you will be organising your thoughts, putting deeper meaning to your experiences and you will become more aware of yourself and your abilities.
With reference to your recent Research project using the Interview technique on na artist in your community, please share your experiences on your RESEARCH. How did you feel about it? What were your major problems? What made it enjoyable and rewarding for you?

I Wonder....
I often wonder why is it many students, especially males, come into the school and expect not to learn art.Especially as they go up in higher forms, their output of creativity and skills decrease considerably. They instead focus on all the other "important" subject areas and not develop their skills or atleast try to appreciate it.They make art seem as the least important subject.
Does it stem from the home environment? Or is it only as a result of their peers? Also my fellow teachers, why is it that in Trinidad and Tobago you can never have the parents of the students motivating them to do their art assignments and commending them on their great job? At times these are the very same parents who would spend a lot of money to buy gifts, decorations and so for various activities and occasions, yet they are ashamed when their kids, esp the boys, make them....handcraftd items. Don’t the parents ever question their children and realise that their kids DO enjoy the art and it is relaxing and theraputic for them?… Just wondering....

The Role of Art at Divali Celebrations 2010, at VBHC
This year's Divali 2010 celebrations at Vishnu Boys Hindu College saw quite a difference when compared to previous years.
Please share your views as to what you think may have accounted for this huge difference and the impact Art had to play in it.
I do trust and hope that you see now that presentation of any sort involves ART. if you want to make a Visual impact, help create the setting and mood.....ART does has its role.
