Collage making is the art of sticking paper, and other relatively flat objects, on a flat surface. The element of TEXTURE is greatly highlighted in this art technique. Paper can be manipulated in various ways, for example, by cutting, tearing, folding, balling, crumpling, and even twisting.
The art of twisting paper lends itself to a special art technique called QUILLING, sometimes known as "paper filigree." Quilling involves the manipulation of paper through twisting, rolling and curling to create beautiful representational and abstract works of art. This art form has been around since the period of Renaissance. Quilling can be considered a form of collage making. Quilling can be done on cards, canvas boards, paper and other such surfaces.
Explore with this art form. It can be a great hobby!

I find quillin is a very exellent artwork and should be very common to artists like Lucia Politis who does exellent quilling arts.

i would say that quilling is a wonderful piece of art because when you want to make a card insted of buying one you can make one yourself and it is also amazing to see art from a long time ago,to see people doing it now.

ReplyDeleteI think that collage and quilling is a very beautifull art work and every artist should be able to do it because quillig arts are very amazing.We can use quilling and collage to decorate things like cards,posters and signs.One amazing quilling artists is Lucia Politis.
I think that COLLAGE and QUILLING a very exellent art work and EVERY artist should be able to do the art of quilling and collage because they would be better and more people would know about their art work.One such artist is LUCIA POLITIS,she has AMAZING artwork.

I am most fortunate to get a breif description on collages because it helps me to understand quilling(the art of twisting paper to make beautiful works of art) better. ReplyDeleteQUILLING is a fascinating subject and best of all it falls under the main subject,ART.the way in which my eyes see it, my drawings just jump out the page with all the elements,colour,texure,form,shape and line.

ReplyDeleteQuilling and collage is a very useful tecknique because it helps mankind and even artists use these tecknique, even I love this tecknique, but sometimes you to need to be careful. Everyone should be able like this tecknique.
The QUILLING exircise is a very edcunational and fun topic.The QUILLING passage is some main points when QUILLING.This art topic is very fun and is my favourite topic in art.
