W can prevent or correct these of society by talking to the person and reason to then that what they are doing is wrong and they could change there ways.

DeleteOne of the issues affecting me is crime. It affects me because I cannot go outside and play. We can prevent these crimes by having more officers patrol the area.

On this blog ,I would like to reflect on the topic : societal issues that surround us because in this country Trinidad and Tobago there are two many conflicts such as : crime and drug abuse , etc. In conclusion , I would like to thank Sir. Dillip Maharaj for his hard work and effort towards us.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all I would like to thank Mr. Dilip for bringing up this topic. Some issues that affect my today's surroundings are:Teenage Pregnancy and Crime. This affects me to see parents hearing that their children have been murdered. Teenage Pregnancy affects not only me but families, I think this is not right that teenagers have to stop their education and take care of babies. We can correct these ills of society by safe sexual activity, providing more jobs so people would change there minds from stealing and to have more police in such areas that the crime would be in plentiful.

ReplyDeleteI as a child, is negativity affected by the harmful wrong doing of the youth although i am not part of it those action reflect negatively on us children and brings shame to our parents, teachers,family members an people who has known us for a long period of time.
To prevent these ill there shall be strict laws in forced against these acts so that wrong doers can be punished and humiliated for what they have done.

DeleteIn today's world there are men abusing women which is not right because women brought us into this world so why hit, why beat them to death? It can affect one's kid because when your child sees you hitting his mum what is he going to think espeacially if your kid is a boy because when he gets older he can properly hit his wife to and then you wonder why he abuses his wife because its your fault.You can all prevent this just by talking to someone why do you hit women.

DeleteTwo issues that affect me are my little brother bully's me and thief stole my dad's tv. It affects me because every day my brother fifths with me for nothing and when they stole the tv I was very angry. We can prevent bulling we could start to take the children to a consoler to get ride of the problem and for the thief the police should petrol at night.
ReplyDeleteOne issue that is affecting the society which I know of is killing. This affects me when people of my family or in society gets killed by bandits/thieves. My opinion is to put a stop to this and let the police investigate and handle the matter. My question is why and what do people do this for? I never got my answer.

DeleteA issue that is seriously affecting society is teenage pregnancy/rape. This affects us because we will have to stay alert because there are some people out there that has no shame and we will also have to watch over our litter and older sisters because they can be raped.Then we will have to find out about what our siblings are doing because we have no idea what they have in mind because they can do silly things and become a father or mother.
DeleteOne of the problems in today's world is killing this is caused by some lazy drug addict who wants easy money . I for one if I was in those people shoes I would find a day work for a least a hundred dollars for each day I work for but I guess they to lazy for that too. This affects us because jobs on the classified in the newspaper usually cause it because persons from poor families usually sends their children to work there because they think it is for betterment. And when their begin to work they cannot be connected to their families , their are used as payment for debt and they are also hold against their will. This can be resolve by better laws , more police patrol and for this generation to take education serious so further generation will not be in illegal activities.

One issue affecting the society is bullying .Bullying affect us because it could be physical or emotional .Physical is the infliction of bodily injury and emotional is if you hurt someone feelings. A solution for this is teachers taking some time with students once for the week to chat about it and discuss problems students may be having with each other.

ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you, Kishan. In my community there is an increase in criminal activity. This is very frightening for my family. We are scared to think what may happen one day. But we live in Hope and the will of God.
DeleteAn issue that is affecting society is teenage pregnacy ,because this can destroy; families and someones future this can lead to juvenile deliquency, physical and mental stress. I think children should wait until they have a good education , good job and a proper understanding on how to raise and care for a family , but most importantly they should wait until they are over the age of twenty -three.
ReplyDeleteOne societal issue I Identified that affects me is Violence towards children at school and home.I feel very sad and worried because everyday children get abused physically,verbally and sexually. I am concerned because these are my fellow human beings and I think that they are robbed of a happy life. I think that if we as children look out for each other, listen to each other and observe each behaviour then we might be able to lend some kind of help.
ReplyDeleteOne societal issue is [Abusing Drugs and Drug trafficking ] . This is when ''Drug dealers'' sell illegal drugs such (cocain ,marijuana) to people in variable towns and countries . Many people get addicted to it and it also causes damage to the brain an heart . When you take an illegal drug it is impossible to resist .These actions lead to a couple months in prison.

ReplyDeleteSome issues affecting or society is kidnapping it affects me because I cannot go outside and ride my bike or play. I also live in Laventille so I cannot have fun outside. I think that some ways to prevent these things is to have police patrolling more. But what I really want to know is what those people get out of this, kidnapping children.

I feel scared to come outside and play with my friends i can only feel safe only with an adult. When my parents or family members by something expensive and someone steals it I feel that people could also do me that. I asked myself why do people do these things? DeleteThere are many different issues affecting society, but if I would choose one that is serious it will be teenage pregnancy . Everyday in Trinidad and Tobago a teenager (female) becomes pregnant ,and why is that,it is because these girls grow up in broken homes , they have very little sex education and peer pressure exists.I hope that the government can rectify this problem so we may never have to hear or see this problem in society again.
